- 4 Days - 3 Nights

PROGRAM:

- 1st day: Perugia

Arrival in Umbria in Perugia in the morning with your own vehicle, meeting with the guide and beginning of the visit of the medieval city. We will see the most important monuments of Perugia: the famous Fontana Maggiore , the Duomo and the Palazzo dei Priori , the Arch of Augustus also known as the Etruscan Arch, the Via Appia, the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, the Rocca Paolina and one of the ancient Etruscan gates of Perugia – Porta Marzia . At the end of the excursion free lunch. Afternoon boat tour on Lake Trasimeno, where you can admire the most characteristic areas of the lake. Accommodation in hotel in Perugia. Dinner and overnight.

- 2nd day: Perugia - Assisi - Santa Maria degli Angeli - Gubbio - Perugia

Breakfast at the hotel. Immediately after we leave for Assisi , the famous town of San Francesco where we will visit the Cathedral of S. Rufino, the Church of S. Chiara, the Piazza del Comune with the Palazzo dei Priori, the Church of S. Maria sopra Minerva and the Palazzo del Capitano of the People . At the end we will admire the marvelous Basilicata of S. Francesco**. At the end of the excursion we will leave to visit a small village just 4 km from Perugia - Santa Maria degli Angeli , famous among pilgrims thanks to its Basilica and the Porziuncola, a small church where St. Francis founded the Franciscan Order in 1226. At the end of the visit we will leave for Gubbio. Free lunch along the way. Afternoon dedicated to the guided tour of Gubbio with its historic center full of artistic treasures: the Church of San Francesco, the medieval bridges over the Camignano stream, the Loggia dei Tiratori della Lana, the Cathedral of Saints Mariano and Jacopo and the Palazzo Ducale*, the Piazza Grande with the Palazzo dei Consoli* and the Diocesan Museum* . At the end of the visit return to Perugia. Dinner and overnight.

- 3rd day: Perugia - Spello - Spoleto - Todi - Perugia

Breakfast at the hotel. After check out we leave for Spello – an enchanting village known above all for the magnificent flower displays. We will visit a large number of remains from the Roman era: the Roman Walls , the characteristic Towers of Properzio, the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore , with the famous Capella Baglioni , the remains of the theater and the baths, and finally the spectacular Porta Consolare, Porta Venere and Porta Ubrica . At the end we will continue to Spoleto , one of the most beautiful cities in Umbria. During the visit we will see: the splendid Cathedral and the Rocca Albornoziana , the very famous ancient Roman aqueduct transformed into the Ponte delle Torri , the Arch of Drusco and the Roman Theater * which dates back to the 1st century BC Free lunch. Afternoon dedicated to a guided tour of Todi – a border town between Umbrians and Etruscans and known as "the most livable city in the world", even if the locals prefer to call it the "ideal city". Among the famous monuments there are: the pulsating heart of the city – the Piazza del Popolo , the complex of the Palazzo Comunale which houses the Pinacoteca Civica , the Lapidary Museum and the Etruscan Roman Museum, the Cathedral , characterized by a beautiful Romanesque façade and a long access stairway, the Temple of Consolation and the great Gothic church of San Fortunato. Return to Perugia. Dinner and overnight.

- 4th day: Perugia and Orvieto

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a guided tour of Orvieto , perched on a tuff cliff. It is one of the oldest cities in Italy with Etruscan origins. We will begin our visit from the splendid Cathedral *, one of the most famous monuments of the city with its admirable facade, decorated with mosaics and sculptures. We will not fail to visit the Underground City , full of wells and caves. The most famous is the Pozzo di San Patrizio * which gives us a surreal atmosphere. It's hard not to fall in love with this treasure trove of art and nature with its alleys, stately buildings and ancient houses, all built with tuff.

End of our services if with own means, transfer to departure station if with private driver.
